The fourth-year programme of the Chair for Sustainable Tourism Development aims at meeting the demand for highly qualified professionals in this field; the demand of both companies in the tourism sector and governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The Chair for Sustainable Tourism Development offers fourth-year students in tourism three courses, covering the principal fields of expertise in sustainable tourism development. Each course represents four credits (three courses of 160 hours each).

By participating in one or more of the three courses, students may acquire up-to-date insight, professional skills and know-how required to develop tourism and tourism-related products and activities in a (more) sustainable manner.

Students who accomplish the entire programme, concluded with a traineeship or a thesis on a subject related to the programme, are granted an endorsement on their diplomas, representing their qualification in the field of sustainable tourism development.
